In music therapy as children can listen to and perform. Music is used in combination with dance moves. Even people with severe disorders benefit from music therapy.
In hospitals and offices of psychologists, counselors, doctors, dentists, music soothes, reduces anxiety and helps create the mood therapeutically. Deepest therapists use music to support the study of personality.
Most often, however, music therapy is used in children with mental retardation and physical disabilities. The following exceptions to the specified procedure does not apply to music therapy as a whole. There are numerous programs that apply to populations of different ages and abilities.
Recently emphasizes communication aspect of the music, which is why we offer the following method to extra and intrapsychic integration (between itself and internal social group - the very one that is relevant to adaptation), which can be used in most children with SEN (with excluding children with sensory disabilities to severe mental retardation and severe multiple disabilities, and some of the children with generalized developmental disorder). Lead play music that brings a certain mood. Every participant will be given cards which depict human faces expressing a particular emotion. This emotion must be connected to the main types of moods and music: joyful - sad, cheerful - tired, happy - angry, calm - excited brave - cowardly, slow - fast, festive - weekday, hot - cold, intimate - alienated, clear - moody, beautiful - ugly. Participants indicate that a card that reflects the corresponding emotion. Emphasis is placed on the position of the eyes, eyebrows, mouth. The aim is a better adaptation and social integration.
On the fundamental qualities of musical experience to build therapeutic goals of music therapy generally formulated in four cycles:
1. Activation of emotional processes and stimulating domestic processing and overcome the pathogenic conflicts.
2. Activate and unlock the social interactions of nonverbal level that help overcome behavioral disorders find the communication with pathogenic value.
3. Master the psychophysical stress.
4. Pedagogical purposes, without ceasing to be therapeutic.
According to some studies those sentiments as joy, sadness, love, longing, peace often wake up with music, while others such as anger, fear, jealousy and envy - not.
Impact of major and minor chords, tempo, loudness, rhythm, harmony and melody affects on human behavior has also been the subject of study. The rapid pace is the most powerful element in creating excitement. Expressiveness of music is due less to the melody than rhythm and tempo. Total and rhythmic patterns affect coordination, balance, rhythm and body creative and aesthetic effects, as well as the different moods. It is also believed that music expands the capacity of attention, reduces stress, facilitates self-expression, association and stimulates the imagination and helps the process of remembering. In conclusion it can be said that music therapy is a method widely used and very good therapeutic effect.
